These terms apply whenever you order from us. Please read them before you pay — you are asked to confirm you accept them at checkout.
2. Placing an order
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. If we cannot take your order — the date is full, the design is not something we can make, or we cannot deliver to you — we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
Lead time. We need at least 4 days between your order and the date you need it. Larger orders, tiered cakes and catering usually need longer. If you need something sooner, ask before ordering rather than after.
Personalisation. You are responsible for the spelling, dates and wording you give us. We copy them exactly as supplied. Please check them before you submit your order — we cannot refund a cake because a name was typed wrongly.
Handmade goods. Every cake is made by hand, so there will be small variations from the photographs on this site. Colours in particular can vary between screens and between batches of icing. We will always tell you if we think a design cannot be matched closely.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay — the cake or item, plus any delivery charge, with no fees added afterwards.
Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your order is not confirmed until payment has cleared.
Classes are the exception: places are reserved when you book and paid for on the day.
If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we will contact you before accepting your order and you can confirm at the correct price or have a full refund.
4. Delivery and collection
You can collect from us free of charge, or we can deliver. Delivery charges depend on the area and are shown before you pay.
Someone must be there. Cakes are fresh, fragile and often heavy. We cannot leave one with a neighbour, in a porch or in a safe place. If nobody is at the address at the agreed time we will try to contact you, but if we cannot deliver we may have to treat the order as fulfilled and no refund will be due.
Access. Please tell us about anything that affects delivery — stairs, parking restrictions, venue access times, a locked gate. If we cannot get to the door at the agreed time through no fault of ours, the order is treated as delivered.
Once it is with you. Risk passes to you when the order is handed over. Cakes need to be kept level, cool and out of direct sunlight, and eaten within the time we tell you. We cannot be responsible for damage after handover — including cakes moved by car, stacked, or set up by a venue.
Timing. We agree a delivery window rather than an exact minute. We will contact you if we are running late. If we miss the date entirely and it is our fault, see Cancellations & Refunds.
5. Allergens and food safety
This is important, so please read it. Our kitchen handles cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk, soya, nuts, peanuts, sesame, sulphites, mustard and fish. Everything is made in one kitchen using shared equipment.
We cannot guarantee that any item is free from any allergen, however carefully we work. If you or a guest has a severe allergy, please do not order without speaking to us first.
Tell us about allergies when you order, in the notes field, and we will tell you what is in what. Allergen information is available before you buy and again when your order is delivered, as the law requires. If you ask for it in writing, we will provide it in writing.
Storage and shelf life. We will tell you how to store your order and how long it keeps. We cannot be responsible for food that has been stored incorrectly or eaten after that time.
6. Classes
Class places are limited and are held on a first-come basis. You must be 16 or over to attend on your own; under-16s are welcome with an adult who stays for the session.
Classes involve ovens, knives and hot equipment. Please follow instructions and tell us in advance about anything affecting your ability to take part safely. We may ask someone to stop if they are putting themselves or others at risk.
Everything you make is yours to take home. The same allergen warning in section 5 applies to anything made or tasted during a class.
For moving or cancelling a booking, see Cancellations & Refunds.
7. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, and for your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that goods be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We supply to consumers for domestic and private use, and we are not liable for business losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost opportunity.
8. Photographs of your order
We usually photograph what we make and may use those photographs on this site and on social media. Photographs are of the cake, not of you or your guests, and we never publish names, addresses, dates or messages without asking.
If you would rather we did not photograph your order at all, tell us when you order or email sugarblissnmore@gmail.com at any time and we will remove it.
9. General
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one you accepted at checkout, and we record which version that was.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not insist that you do something, that does not stop us doing so later.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
